This surprising barbecue sauces work beautifully with meat or as it's own dipping sauce

Ingredients

Warm a medium saucepan over medium heat and add the oil and onion

Cook, stirring constantly, until onion is translucent, 2 minutes.

Add in remaining ingredients, increase heat to high, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly

Then reduce heat to medium-low until sauce reduces and thickens, 7 to 10 minutes

Remove from heat and let cool slightly
