Bourbon Marinated flank steak

This easy marinade makes for a distinctly bourbon flavoured steak that is great on top of a salad.

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to the boil for 1 minute.

Pour the marinade into a dish large enough to take the steak and leave to cool.

Add the steak to the cooled marinade, stir to evenly coat and leave in the fridge for up to 8 hours

Sear the beef on each side for 3 minutes

Deglaze the pan with the excess marinade and add a little cream or veal stock in at the end.
